Jo Barry
Jo Barry is one of Britain’s foremost printmakers. Taking her inspiration from southern England and the Continent, her etchings portray landscapes evocative of a beckoning countryside, where intimate gardens, woodland retreats and quiet snowfall reveal a sensitivity of spirit.
“At the moment we have some sheep, a lot of noisy chickens, a large number of ducks, six dogs, and of course an uncertain number of white doves. This all keeps me quite busy but it is also a constant inspiration and the animals, even the wild deer that feed in our garden, are starting to creep into my pictures. I have been etching since 1978 and I still find it a magical and exciting process. I think I am very lucky” – Jo Barry
