Sally Ann Fitter
Sally Anne Fitter studied Ceramics at Bristol Art Academy and went on to teach Art and Ceramics at a London boys school. Having completed a design course at Chelsea School of Art, she set up and ran a Textile Design Studio, selling her work in London, New York, Japan, Paris and Milan. Amongst her many customers were Liberty’s, Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren, New York. Her designs have sold world-wide for many years. Sally Anne re-located to Norfolk and turned professionally to painting in 2003. She is now a full-time painter and regularly exhibits in galleries throughout the U.K.
Sally Anne delights in painting still life with familiar objects, framed within windows and interiors. Her landscape paintings depict scenes based around the North Norfolk Coast and Cornwall. Sally has an imaginative eye for colour with a warm, rich palette. She uses numerous painting techniques to develop surface textures with strong colours. This leads to both creative and imaginative compositions that invite the viewer to look again at both the ordinary and the familiar.
