Purple Gallery features an outdoor Sculpture Garden, offering visitors a peaceful place to relax and enjoy art in the open air during fine weather.

When the gallery first opened in 2005, the garden was an overgrown 20-foot jungle, home to discarded appliances and unwelcome wildlife. Since its conception in 2006, the space has been thoughtfully transformed into a tranquil and welcoming garden, evolving over the years through carefully curated planting and a changing display of stoneware sculptures.

Refreshments are served in the garden, weather permitting, allowing visitors to linger and enjoy the surroundings.

Outdoor Sculpture Collection:

The garden showcases a varied selection of sculptures, including stone carvings by The Shapeshifters group — Viv Astling RBSA, Belinda Hutchings, and Joan Sharma. Additional collections are regularly introduced, with new works displayed throughout the Spring and Summer seasons.

The Sculpture Garden has also proven to be a successful venue for workshops and demonstrations, adding to its role as a vibrant and engaging extension of the gallery.
