Bulldog, Acrylic Painting (MJ02)

Bulldog is a characterful contemporary portrait that captures the strength, expression and distinctive personality of the breed. Painted in detailed monochrome, the bulldog is set against a softly sprayed background of vivid green, blue, yellow and pink tones. The contrast between the restrained black-and-white subject and the energetic colour creates a strong focal point while continuing Matthew Lloyd’s wider theme that animals bring warmth, individuality and colour into our lives.
