Katherine Bozic
For many years, Katherine has been doing acrylic painting and pen/ink with watercolour illustrations. She did a degree in Performing Arts specialising in Music then a second degree in Occupational Therapy. After a diagnosis of MS, she desired to do more of creative activities and took BTEC in Art & Design in Birmingham. She exhibited in local exhibitions and at the MAC for an open exhibition.
Artist Statement: "My still life paintings mainly focus on interesting shapes and iconic designs of antique objects. I love painting the organic ripples, shapes and movement of material that feature in my work. These paintings evoke elements of nostalgia; vintage but not from a specific time. I like working with acrylic paints, they dry fast and you can be bold knowing you can paint over anything you're unhappy with. I like rich bright colours and once I've started a painting, I can work quickly and get in the flow."
Katherine lives in Birmingham with her husband and their dog. She is a member of Bournville Clarinet Choir.
