Karen Keogh RE
Karen Keogh RE, studied at Roehampton University and Morley College, London. She is a Senior Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers.
Karen exhibited her Artwork in numerous galleries, both in solo and mixed shows, which have been very well received over the years. Her last two solo exhibitions, “Drawn to Water” and “A Mediterranean Journey,” were particularly successful, with many visitors and sales. Additionally, her work has been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition frequently.
Karen's work consists of vibrantly coloured, 3 plate etchings and painterly monotypes which take the landscape for inspiration. She enjoys simplifying shapes and finding pattern within the landscape. She also likes to add her own touch of wild shape and colour. Using three metal plates for each print is labour intensive, technically difficult, and requires a great deal of foresight. But for Karen, there is no other way to achieve the exciting hues and colour combinations she is looking for.
