Claire Hartley
Claire Hartley studied at Glasgow School of Art and progressed to designing jewellery in the early 90’s. She and her husband, Lorne are based on a small island off the West Coast of Scotland and gain influence for their jewellery designs from their travels. Whether it be the swirling colours of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) in the high Arctic (at -40C) or the exotic cultures and colours of the Tibetan landscape, their extensive travels continually give them the inspiration to create new jewellery designs.
They work mainly with semi-precious stones inlaid in sterling silver, and produce earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets and bangles in a variety of different designs.
Purple Gallery currently stocks Silver pendants, necklaces, stud and drop earrings inlaid with Amethyst, Chalcedony, Garnet, Pearl, Peridot, Blue & Green Topaz.
